The P-Trap treatment
Clearing the clog is only half the work. Once the line runs free, I lightly pour a treatment solution into the clean-out port so it works its way through the drain line and the P-Trap. That trap holds a small amount of water on purpose — it blocks air from being pulled back through the drain line and keeps your AC pulling condensate the way it was designed to. The solution breaks down the algae and slime that builds up inside the pipe, so the trap stays clean and the line keeps flowing long after I'm gone.
